Hey, everybody, look over there. It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a hyper SUV. Okay, what exactly is going on here? This is a concept SUV that can shape shift, for what? Like if you need to fit it into a tight parking spot. All joking aside, this game changing concept car is nothing to laugh at. This car has two modes, city and travel, and it can extend from 4.4 to 4.8 meters in length, depending on what mode you choose to drive in. It’s incredibly earth friendly with fully electric capabilities, which seems to be a growing trend in the concept car scene these days. This car is also social, if the driver waves at the car, the Renault’s A.I. will recognize the driver and unlock the doors and set the seats and mirrors in the desired positions.
The car will also be able to lock and unlock with the power of a smartphone. The company explained that in this new age of car sharing, they wanted to do away with Cingular car keys. Drivers would receive different unlocking codes on their smartphones and access the car from there. The coolest thing about this car may be its vision of life in the future.
How much would you pay for this autonomous shape-shifting beauty?
When you think of a Lamborghini, the first words coming to mind probably aren’t sport utility vehicle. And you’d be right. Lamborghini is most well known for its liquid fast luxury sports cars like the Gallardo or the egoista. When you think of Lamborghini, you think of zero to 60 in 3.5 seconds.
You certainly don’t think of an SUV with a twin turbo charged V8 engine capable of reaching one hundred and eighty nine miles per hour. But that’s exactly what the Lamborghini Urus is. This super SUV is first in its class. And according to the Lambo website, it’s literally the first super sport utility vehicle in the world.
This six hundred and forty one horsepower super SUV is priced at around two hundred and fifty thousand dollars. What do you think? Is it worth it?
The Maybach G wagon is nothing short of superlative. And even if you’re not taking this puppy out for any sport utility purposes, it still deserves a spot on our SUV list. The G wagon is a favored car among A-list celebrities. Kevin Hart, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Kylie Jenner and Rene Zellweger all have G wagons in their car collections.
One of the hottest G wagons on the market right now is the Mercedes Maybach G650 landaulet. This sweet ride is the ultimate nexus of off roading and luxury, with no compromise made in either department. The G650 boasts almost half a meter of ground clearance and multi contoured massage functions for its rear seating.
For the luxury loving adrenalin junkie, this car is perfect for a simultanous deep tissue massage and offroad adventure. Literally dubbed the Maserati of SUVs, the Maserati Levante is just that, and if you’re still dubious about that title, maybe its price tag will convince you. We’re talking $100000 minimum. And while the Levante is probably only driven by the world’s wealthiest inhabitants, its name has some surprisingly humble origins.
This car was named after a little something called the Levante winds, a wind that travels through the sands of the Mediterranean, going from calm to powerful in a matter of seconds. This wasn’t the first Maserati to be named after a famous wind. The Maserati, Mistral, Bora and Compston all have similar namesakes and it only makes sense.
These cars are powerful as heck. The Levante comes with a couple of different engine options, depending on what kind of driver you are. The car can be made with a V6 or V8 engine and a horsepower ranging from 345 to 590 respectively. If you need to get to the kids soccer practice fast, the Maserati Levante might just be the SUV for you. With a top speed of one hundred and sixty five miles per hour or 265 kilometers.
Shout it from the rooftops, a Ferrari SUV is finally here, well, it’s almost here. Sometime in 2020, the Ferrari Purosangue will hit the market, the first ever Ferrari SUV of its kind. Let’s talk about that name for a second or should we say tentative name? Purosangue, which translates to pureblood in Italian, landed the company in a recent legal scandal as they are currently suing the Purosangue Foundation for use of the name.
The Purosangue Foundation is an anti-doping nonprofit charity that fights to keep performance enhancing drugs out of the sports world. Given the Ferrari company’s social and financial status, it’s no secret that they’ve got some top shelf lawyers at their disposal. However, it may be too early on in the litigation process to call this Ferrari SUV, the Purosangue, for sure.
Ferrari has argued that the charity, quote, “has not made sufficient commercial use of the name to warrant exclusivity” and quotes “and therefore should belong to Ferrari and Ferrari only”. But let’s get to the car already. One thing all lawyers can agree on is that this car is going to be freaking awesome. First of all, this Ferrari SUV comes with a V6, V8 or a V12 engine of your choosing, with horsepower ending up somewhere in the 700s.
The price for this car is speculated to be anywhere from three hundred thousand to five hundred thousand euros, which is to be expected from a company like Ferrari. The car doesn’t skimp out on design either, keeping true to the brand’s luxury sports aesthetic. How much would you shell out to drive one of these? Let us know in the comments.

You can rest assured you probably wouldn’t be able to afford it. Sorry, the truth hurts.
With a company as sophisticated as GFG style, they couldn’t get away with just one entry on our list. Introducing the GFC style 2030, arguably one of the most advanced hyper SUVs to date. This car is four wheel drive, all electric and can go from zero to 60 in under 3.5 seconds flat. The car is making its first appearance at auto shows in 2020.4.3
Even though this car is only a two seater, GFG Style confirms that it is in fact an SUV, meaning that it can be used for driving in sports and Off-Road settings. The 20/30 has a carbon fiber body and an aluminum frame, which is important for an electric vehicle. Considering the batteries for those things can weigh a lot.
The car comes in two colors, forest green and carbon black. The company says its color choices are inspired by the colors of the Saudi Arabian flag. While we couldn’t get an exact price for this 510 horsepower hyper SUV, we can safely estimate it’s going to cost several hundred thousands, if not millions of dollars.
This three hundred thousand dollar SUV is the price of an average house. The Bentley Bentayga comes with all the promised luxuries of a Bentley vehicle, yet still has the power and versatility of an SUV. This car has a spacious classic Bentley interior and a towing capacity of 7716 pounds. That’s only a couple of hundred pounds less than a Tesla cyber truck, which boasts a towing capacity of 7500 pounds.
Pretty impressive, Bentley. And while you might not want to take a $300000 SUV on some off-road detour, you can rest assured that she could handle even the toughest of hypothetical terrains. And if you need to go someplace fast, this SUV can go from zero to 60 in four seconds with a top speed of one hundred and eighty seven miles an hour. That’s 301 kilometers per hour.
The Bentley Bentayga really puts the sport in sport utility vehicle. Oh, and one more thing, according to the Bentley website, this car has the widest selection of colors available for an SUV. However, if none of the preselected colors were suited to your liking, you could always do what Paris Hilton did to her Bentley.
No top car list would be complete without an Aston Martin. And while this next car might not technically be a hyper or super SUV, it drove onto this list so fast that we had no choice but to include it. This luxury SUV is, according to the company, quote, “fueled by adventure”. And it’s no surprise a luxury SUV from Aston Martin would be anything but adventurous.
The front grill on the car is modeled after a DB2 prototype from 1949, making a clear statement that this car is a continuation or expansion of the Aston Martin heritage and not a deviation from the norm. It’s aluminum body and double wishbone front suspension make this vehicle both lightweight and highly adaptable to various terrain.
It can also go very fast, zero to 60 in four and a half seconds. The interior of the car weaves obsidian leather, ivory and wood into a timeless, seriously breathtaking passenger experience. You don’t have to feel like you’re in a sports car to get the performance of a sports car. This car can be yours for around $250000. Better start saving.
Well, there you have it. Some of the wildest SUVs on the market, though, they may not all be as high tech or future oriented as the Renault Morphoz, many of them are still making leaps and bounds between the luxury and SUV categories, merging the two into a new genre of super SUV.
